The perfect spot to use as home base

When selecting a vacation home near Disney there are a few very important things to consider. Some you might not realize are important until you’ve experienced them. Fear not, as we have invested in homes that check off all the boxes.

Location, Location, Location

The three cardinal rules of real estate hold true to vacation homes. Our villas are located in two of the finest resorts in Orlando. Windsor Hills is the closest pool home community to Disney, while Solterra is one of Orlando’s newest resorts near the parks.

Most of our guests are able to get back to our villas faster than guests staying on Disney property. How so? We’re that close and Disney’s transportation gets crowded.

Disney property guests often stand in long lines at the end of the night to get shoved onto a crowded bus. That bus then stops at 3 ~ 4 different resorts. Even if you’re lucky enough to be the first stop, you’re often standing shoulder to shoulder with 80 other hot, tired and (let’s face it) cranky guests. I’ve been there and done that. Instead our guests simply get into their air conditioned car (or Uber) and make a quick 5 ~ 35 minute drive (depending on the park - Universal is 35 minutes from any vacation home as they're not permitted in Orange county where Universal is located).

Lots to do on your “resort day”

All of our homes are located in secure gated communities with excellent amenities. These amenities are included free of charge with your stay.

Windsor Hills’ community center features a beautiful pool, water slides, convenience store, gym, free movie theater and welcome center. Other amenities include tennis, pickle ball, volleyball and basketball courts; three different playgrounds and a putting green.

Solterra Resort is one of Orlando’s newest resorts just a few exits down I4. The community center has a giant pool, water slide, lazy river, cabanas, café, gym and welcome center. The other centrally located amenities include basketball, tennis and volleyball courts along with a playground for the little ones.

Get all the sunshine you paid for

When guests book a vacation home, they think they’re going to be able to sit in the sun by the pool. This isn’t always the case. Depending on the orientation of the pool, it might be in the shadow of the house most of the day. Or you might be staring straight into the sun trying to sip your morning coffee or evening beverage.

South facing pools get the most sunshine with the least amount of glare. Our homes also have plenty of shaded areas around the pool. The lanais or cabana provide the perfect shaded spot for a reprieve from the sun and an enjoyable view of the pool.

In addition, we’ve also selected homes with relatively private pool decks and outfitted them with premium saltwater pools. Saltwater isn’t from the ocean. They silky smooth and better for your eyes and skin. Since the water is essentially saline, you’re able to open your eyes underwater without any burning. And when you have fish for kids, this is a huge bonus.

Keep it cool

Most of the game rooms in the area are converted garages, but they’re not all created equally. Very few have air conditioning, thus making them almost unbearable in the summer. All of our game rooms have dedicated mini-split AC units to keep the rooms a pleasant temperature for playing a game or enjoying a movie.

Five stars or bust

Our guests are our best advocates. That’s why we go out of our way to make sure the homes are just what they expect. Lots of vacation homes in the area were purchased years ago and it shows. Not only is the décor outdated, but so are mattresses and furnishings. Our guests consistently give our homes five stars because they’re exactly what they’ve ordered. Many state that the homes are even nicer than the pictures. And I agree. Some of the features are just hard to photograph and must be experienced for yourself.

Properly managed

While I would love to meet all of our guests, that’s physically impossible. We live a thousand miles away in Pittsburgh. It’s far, I know. I’ve driven it too many times already. That’s why we have a top notch property management team to oversee the houses. The team not only keeps the homes thoroughly clean, but they perform preventive maintenance to try to avoid issues. Try as we might, a home is a home and things happen. That’s when they shine the brightest. When issues prop up they are taken care of promptly and with as little disruption to our guests as possible.
